Based on the masterpiece The Peony Pavilion by China’s great playwright Tang Xianzu (1550-1616), the highly anticipated Kunqu Opera Walking in the Garden and The Dream Interrupted will be staged at the Zhengyici Peking Opera Theatre in Beijing from Dec 16-17. It will also hit the stage at the National Centre for the Performing Arts from Feb 15-16, 2025. Blending tradition and modernity, this masterpiece will offer audiences a dreamlike artistic feast.
