A spectacular collaboration arrives in Shanghai! Over 40 artists from the Cape Town Opera Chorus have traveled from South Africa to join the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra under the baton of maestro Kazem Abdullah. Together, they presented a stunning semi-staged version of the opera Porgy and Bess on Oct 8.
Based on the 20th-century American novel Porgy, the opera explores the lives of unforgettable characters such as the kind-hearted, disabled Porgy and the free-spirited Bess.
