On Saturday, the newly upgraded dance drama Tiangong Kaiwu (The Exploitation of the Works of Nature) took the stage once again at the Jiangxi Arts Center. Based on Song Yingxing (1587-1666) and his renowned work, it vividly portrayed his admiration for the wisdom and creativity of Chinese laborers.
Published in 1637, Tiangong Kaiwu is an encyclopedia that addresses a broad array of technical topics, including the application of different gunpowder-based weapons.
