On Aug 14, the main roadwork for the Changzhou-Taixing Yangtze River Bridge's northern connection project was almost completed.
The northern connection begins in Taixing and extends south through the Hongqiao Industrial Park to link to the Changzhou-Taixing Yangtze River Bridge. The total length of the six-lane road is 22.38 kilometers, with a design speed of 100 km/h for the approach bridges and 120 km/h for the remaining sections.
Construction on the building and ancillary facilities is in the final stages, with completion expected by October.
Once finished, the northern connection will play a crucial role in enhancing the regional highway network, promoting cross-river connectivity between Changzhou and Taixing, and accelerating the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region.
