The Zhoukoudian Site in Beijing’s Fangshan district is one of the most richly documented, comprehensive and representative ancient human sites in the world. It dates back as far as 700,000 years. A Zhoukoudian culture-themed exhibition, featuring 139 fossil specimens and models, is ongoing at the Tianjin Museum. This exhibition offers a systematic exploration of the discovery, excavation and research of the Zhoukoudian Site, and the intriguing story of its lost and found fossils.
