In the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, there exists a city that effortlessly weaves together the tapestries of history and modernity.

Wuxi, with its roots tracing back to the ancient State of Wu, stands not only as a cultural marvel but also as a thriving economic hub. Nestled just northwest of Shanghai, this gem of southern Jiangsu province captivates the hearts of travelers and locals alike, offering a harmonious blend of tradition and progress.

Wuxi's historical significance finds its match in the city's modern economic prowess. From its traditional industries in rice, silk, and textiles to its emergence as a global leader in sectors like electrical motors, software, and solar technology, Wuxi has undergone a remarkable evolution. The culinary scene in Wuxi is a delightful mix of flavors and traditions, where Huaiyang cuisine takes center stage with its sweetness and lightness, offering dishes like Liangxi crispy eel and Wuxi sauce spare ribs. Street snacks like xiaolong mantou and Meihua cake provide a taste of local favorites, while Hangover Soup Dumplings steal the show with their savory delights.

In my explorations of Wuxi, I've uncovered its natural beauty and cultural treasures. Armed with my trusty foldable bike, I've embarked on metro adventures to discover hidden gems, from cycling along Taihu Lake to exploring Daxigang Wetland Park and Huishan's panoramic views. But it's the riverside parks like Yingyue Lake Park and Fenghuang Wetland Park that hold a special place in my heart. Here, amidst live music and vibrant energy, I've found moments of joy and connection.
