Fourteen visitors from Singapore recently visited Matao village in Wande sub-district, Changqing district, Jinan, enjoying an immersive experience of traditional Chinese folk culture.
They learned about the history of the Communist Party of China, agricultural culture, folk culture, and intangible cultural heritage during their first stop on the visit.
They also gained insight into the long history and rich culture of paper-cutting and had a chance to try their hands at creating paper-cutting pieces under the guidance of experienced artists.
In addition, they tried their hands at making jianbing, or pancakes, and dumplings during the visit.
