An original modern Cantonese Opera Silent Heroism, a collaboration between Zhuhai and Macau, debuted at the Beijing Poly Theatre on April 16. Based on the true story of the “Red Doctor” Ke Lin’s (1900-91) covert mission in Macau from the 1930s to 40s, it portrays Dr Ke’s undercover work and solidarity with local progressives. A tribute to Communist resilience and selflessness, it showcases the unwavering spirit of the people.
