On March 22, the ballet Legend of the White Snake was performed at the Nanning Theater in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. As one of China's four major folk love legends, Legend of the White Snake is one of the most widely circulated classic mythological stories. Artists from different historical periods have continuously rewritten and modified the story, creating many examples of outstanding literary and artistic work.
