The temple ruins of Guchengcun, Hunchun, Jilin province, were honored as one of the top 10 archaeological finds of 2022 in China.
An exhibition featuring a stunning array of 168 artifacts unearthed from the temple ruins is ongoing at the Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeology. The Sarira, Buddhist statues and architectural components on display, originating more than 1,000 years ago, unravel the fascinating history and prosperity of this site in China’s border regions.
