A dragon dance performed amid fireworks was held in Taijiang county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Guizhou province, on Saturday. More than 100 "dragons" from various villages gathered in the county, launching the "Dance with the Dragons" parade and the "Hundred Dragons Race" competition.
People from the Miao ethnic group use this unique method to celebrate the Lantern Festival, praying for a good harvest and fortune in the upcoming year.
The custom is known as "the craziest Dragon Dance Festival in the world" and "Game of the Brave".
