Yuyuan Garden's annual lantern show will be held in Shanghai from mid-late January. This year's lanterns' designs feature a wide range of plants and blossoms, animals and other legendary creatures portrayed in the ancient Chinese book Shanhaijing, or The Classic of Mountains and Seas, a book on exotic geography and creatures from more than 2,000 years ago.
Currently, some of these lanterns are already ready, attracting visitors to the classical garden.
