On Jan 8, the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou high-speed railway marked its second anniversary of safe, smooth and orderly operation, handling over 20 million passenger trips so far.
As China's first privately-owned high-speed railway, the railway is 266.9 kilometers long and has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, connecting a number of historical sites and scenic spots, effectively stimulating tourism development along the line.
