North China's Shanxi province recently added 13 new national 4A-rated tourist attractions, located in the cities of Datong, Xinzhou, Yangquan, Jincheng, Linfen, and Yuncheng.
The Shanxi Department of Culture and Tourism will continue to optimize the types of tourist attractions on offer and accelerate the cultivation of high-quality attractions in accordance with relevant regulations, as well as promote the high-quality development of the tourism industry.
To date, the province is home to 10 national 5A-rated tourist attractions and 141 4A-rated ones.
