A group wedding ceremony was held at the century-old Zhanqiao Pier in Shinan district of Qingdao, Shandong province on Sunday. A hundred couples, holding flowers, made vows by the sea, pledging promises and joining hands in matrimony.

In recent years, Qingdao's Shinan district has made efforts to advocate for simplified and innovative wedding ceremonies and encourage a new trend of civilized wedding celebrations, in a bid to promote cultural and ethical advancement in the new era.
