Bathed in soft morning light, 28 trainees from Ethiopia and Djibouti were simulating train operations in a testing room of Zhengzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College in Henan province.

Tilahun Anketsebrhan Girma, 28, a female railway driver from Ethiopia, attracted people's attention.

The only woman in the class, she showed a high level of skill with the simulator.
