Farmers in Turpan, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, have been busy harvesting grapes recently, as well as other fruit.
Known for its grape industry, Turpan has about 37,000 hectares planted this year. Total grape output is expected to reach 1.44 million metric tons, according to local agricultural authorities.
With water-saving technologies and e-commerce, plantation efficiency has improved and local farm incomes have increased, according to officials and farmers.
