4. Admiring clouds
In some regions of Shandong, there is a custom of admiring clouds during the festival. Legend has it that on this day when the Cowherd and Weaver Girl meet, the clouds in the sky appear exceptionally beautiful. Women either climb up towers to gaze at them or step outside to look up. The clouds take on various shapes and change rapidly, especially after rain with a clear sky and during sunsets.
