Liangzi Lake, the eighth freshwater lake in China, is located between Ezhou and Wuhan in southeastern Hubei province. Last August, the Liangzi Lake Ecological Civilization Museum opened to the public, becoming the first research and exhibition center for the protection of lake and aquatic life diversity and the restoration of aquatic ecosystems in Central China.
