The world's only giant panda triplets, born at the Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, celebrated their ninth birthday over the weekend, with specially-made cakes to help them stay away from the summer heat.
The giant pandas, named Meng Meng, Shuaishuai and Kuku, also received special gifts – a princess boudoir, a Cantonese-style dragon boat and a remote-controlled train, respectively.
Dozens of giant pandas have been born at the park, which hosts a giant panda festival to help visitors to learn how to protect the animals.
