Check out this incense burner in soft pink from Qianlong’s reign (1736-95) of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)! Carved out of rose quartz with natural white veins, the incense burner boasts a quaint and solid structure and exquisite design. Its belly is symmetrically adorned with a pair of chi dragons and a pair of beasts holding rings in their mouths. The top of its lid is also embellished with four small chi dragons.
As an imperial utensil, the incense burner is currently in the permanent collection of the Nanjing Museum.
