Mucheng scenic area is located in southeastern Binjiang New City in Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, Jiangsu province. It is south of the Yangtze River, north of the Yanjiang Highway, east of Xingang Industrial Park and west of Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge.

It opened to the public on Sept 28, 2012. In ancient times, Emperor Sun Quan, who lived during the Three Kingdoms (220-280) period, turned the Jingjiang area into a war-horse grassland, leading to the name Mucheng, which means "city of horse breeding" in Chinese.

Mucheng scenic area integrates forest ecology with a lakefront, leisure and entertainment, gardens, wild landscapes and delicious food. It has become a symbol of ecological culture and is often referred to as a "Central Green Lung" and "Urban Oxygen Bar".

The scenic area is centered on Minghu Lake and covers a land area of 2,800 mu (about 186.7 hectares) and water area of 608 mu.

Mucheng scenic area is the perfect place for residents and tourists to relax and sightseeing among the many green trees, lakes, islands, pavilions, corridors, bridges and birds.
