On June 30, the Handan Museum in Hebei province launched an exhibit on gold and bronze Buddhist and Taoist statues from Pingliang city, Gansu province. More than 100 statues, dating from the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), are on display, showcasing distinctive period features and regional styles.
