This blue-glazed porcelain vase has a rotating interior painted with narrative pictures depicting the eastern inspection tour and hunting scenes of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) Emperor Qianlong.
Through the openwork windows on the outer body, the narration is revealed as the interior is rotated.
The vase boasts magnificent decoration and ingenious design. It is a treasure from the permanent collection of the Nanjing Museum.
