New discoveries at Yuanzhou ancient city in Jiangxi

During the archaeological excavation from September of 2021 to August of 2022, the Gaoshi South Road ancient city wall site of Yuanzhou ancient city in Yichun, Jiangxi province, was confirmed to date from the late Tang Dynasty (618-907) through to the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). It is the earliest brick city wall to be found in Jiangxi so far. Ceramic artifacts were also discovered.
