Beijing has a history of over 3,000 years as a city and 870 years as the capital. On May 18, the China Grand Canal Museum in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, kicked off an exhibit featuring the history of the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) capital – Beijing (Dadu). Nearly 260 cultural relics from that period, including architecture components, blue-and-white ceramics, embroidery, paintings, calligraphy, pottery, gold and silver ware, and jade ware, are on display. Don’t miss out on the exhibit that runs until Aug 31.
