The Suzhou Museum is holding an exhibit of some of its best-preserved rare books and stone inscription rubbings at its Wu Paintings and Calligraphy Galleries. More than 30 works, including the biography of the Buddhist monk Xuanzang (602-664), the poetry collection of the Tang Dynasty scholar official Pi Rixiu (ca. 838-883), and the diary of the Qing Dynasty mandarin and influential art collector Pan Zuyin (1830-1890) are on display. The exhibit will run through July 9.
