This exquisitely-designed bronze mirror from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) is in the shape of an eight-petal flower, with each petal being engraved with auspicious flowers. At the center sits an interlocking, beast-shaped knob, surrounded by eight petals. The edge of the piece is decorated with ruyi cloud patterns.
The bronze mirror is a national first-class cultural relic from the permanent collection of the Jining Museum in Shandong province.
