Today is World Water Day. Let’s admire the Water Studies painted by Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) artist Ma Yuan, from the collection of the Palace Museum. There are 12 parts to the scroll, each of which focuses on a specific state of water and conveys a unique artistic conception.
