Dance fans in Wuhan save the date! The dance drama Goddess of the Luo River will be staged at the Wuhan Qintai Grand Theater on March 18 and 19. Inspired by the poem Ode to the Nymph of the Luo River by Cao Zhi (192-232), a prince of the Kingdom of Wei (220-265) and an accomplished poet in his time, the production depicts a tragic love triangle during the Three Kingdoms (220-280) period, featuring enchanting traditional Chinese aesthetics.
Produced by the Zhengzhou Song and Dance Theater, the dance drama has won major awards for performing arts in China, including the Lotus and Wenhua awards.
