The local government and residents of Diqing Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Yunnan province held a variety of cultural activities recently to celebrate Losar, the Tibetan New Year.

From Feb 20 to Feb 22, Shangri-La city, Deqin county and Weixi Lisu autonomous county cooperated to celebrate the traditional festival.

The series of cultural and tourism activities aims to further inherit and carry forward the traditional culture of Diqing and promote its distinctive folk customs and regional links.
