In Chinese folk art, a rabbit holding cabbage represents wishes for reproduction and health. This is a paper-cutting created by Qin Xue’e, an intangible cultural heritage inheritor from Xunyi county of Shaanxi province. It depicts two rabbits and two butterflies symmetrically distributed on two sides of a cabbage.
This piece is from the permanent collection of the National Art Museum of China.
