I. Households' Income

In 2022, the per capita disposable income of residents nationwide was 36,883 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.0 percent over the previous year, and a real increase of 2.9 percent after deducting price factors. In terms of urban and rural areas, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 49,283 yuan, an increase of 3.9 percent (unless otherwise specified below, it was a year-on-year nominal increase), and the actual increase was 1.9 percent after deducting price factors; the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 20,133 yuan, an increase of 6.3 percent. After deducting price factors, the actual increase was 4.2 percent.

According to the source of income, in 2022, the per capita wage income of residents nationwide was 20,590 yuan, an increase of 4.9 percent, accounting for 55.8 percent of disposable income; the per capita net operating income was 6,175 yuan, an increase of 4.8 percent, accounting for 16.7 percent of disposable income; the per capita net property income was 3,227 yuan, an increase of 4.9 percent, accounting for 8.7 percent of disposable income; the per capita net transfer income was 6,892 yuan, an increase of 5.5 percent, accounting for 18.7 percent of disposable income.

In 2022, the median per capita disposable income of residents nationwide was 31,370 yuan, an increase of 4.7 percent, and the median was 85.1 percent of the average. Among them, the median per capita disposable income of urban residents was 45,123 yuan, an increase of 3.7 percent, and the median was 91.6 percent of the average; the median per capita disposable income of rural residents was 17,734 yuan, an increase of 4.9 percent, and the median was 88.1 percent of the average.

II. Consumption Expenditure of Households

In 2022, the per capita consumption expenditure of residents nationwide was 24,538 yuan, a nominal increase of 1.8 percent over the previous year. After deducting the impact of price factors, the actual decrease was 0.2 percent. In terms of urban and rural areas, the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents was 30,391 yuan, a nominal increase of 0.3 percent, and after deducting price factors, the actual decline was 1.7 percent; the per capita consumption expenditure of rural residents was 16,632 yuan, a nominal increase of 4.5 percent. After deducting price factors, the actual growth was 2.5 percent.

In 2022, the national per capita consumption expenditure on food, tobacco and alcohol was 7,481 yuan, an increase of 4.2 percent, accounting for 30.5 percent of the per capita consumption expenditure; per capita clothing consumption expenditure was 1,365 yuan, down 3.8 percent, accounting for 5.6 percent of per capita consumption expenditure; the per capita living consumption expenditure was 5,882 yuan, an increase of 4.3 percent, accounting for 24.0 percent of the per capita consumption expenditure; the per capita consumption expenditure on household goods and services was 1,432 yuan, an increase of 0.6 percent, accounting for 5.8 percent of the per capita consumption expenditure; the per capita consumption expenditure of transportation and communication was 3,195 yuan, an increase of 1.2 percent, accounting for 13.0 percent of the per capita consumption expenditure; the per capita consumption expenditure on education, culture and entertainment was 2,469 yuan, down 5.0 percent, accounting for 10.1 percent of the per capita consumption expenditure; the per capita consumption expenditure on health care was 2,120 yuan, an increase of 0.2 percent, accounting for 8.6 percent of the per capita consumption expenditure; the per capita consumption expenditure on other goods and services was 595 yuan, an increase of 4.6 percent, accounting for 2.4 percent of the per capita consumption expenditure.

Notes:

1. Disposable income of Households refers to the sum of final consumption expenditure and savings that residents can use, that is, the income that residents can use for free disposal, including both cash income and physical income. According to the source of income, disposable income includes wage and salary income, net business income, net property income and net transfer income.

2. Consumer spending refers to all the expenditures that residents use to meet their daily needs, including both cash and physical consumption. Consumer spending includes eight categories: food, tobacco and alcohol, clothing, housing, daily necessities and services, transportation and communication, education, culture and recreation, medical care and other supplies and services.

3. The median of the nationwide per capita disposable income of households refers to the per capita disposable income of households which lies in the middle of all surveyed households ranked from low to high on the basis of per capita disposable income level.

4. The quarterly income and expenditure data do not include the income and consumption of the self-produced and self-used parts of households, and the annual income and expenditure data includes.

5. The two-year average growth rate refers to the growth rate calculated by geometric average method based on the corresponding number of the same period in 2019.
