Material Thinking, a contemporary art show now on in Qingdao, Shandong province, teams up artists from more than 20 countries and their works that present the forms and roles of different materials in modern life.
The exhibition, running through Feb 27 at Tsingtao Haitian View & Art Gallery, addresses how the long-used as well as new materials have shaped people's lifestyles and ways of thinking, and the role of materials in the expression of gender, sustainability and other social concerns.
The exhibition is made possible by the joint efforts of Tsinghua University and Qingdao Conson Development Group.
