China's island province to hold its 4th intl film festival

HAIKOU -- The fourth Hainan Island International Film Festival will be held from Dec 3 to 10 in Sanya, a resort city in China's island province of Hainan.
As of Sept 26, this year's film festival had amassed a total of 3,761 films from 116 countries and regions for the Golden Coconut Awards, according to the organizing committee on Tuesday.
Eighty to 100 films are expected to be screened during the festival, and several forums will also be held.
Launched in 2018, the film festival is jointly hosted by the China Media Group and the Hainan provincial people's government.
