Adapted from the widely acclaimed novel of the same name, the dance drama Qingyi will greet audiences again at the Jixiang Grand Theater in Beijing on Nov 18 and 19. It focuses on the inner world of a Peking Opera actress and her pursuit of this art over 20 years.
Qingyi is a type of female role in Peking Opera and is usually set for dignified and upright female characters.
