The modern Cantonese Opera Princess Wencheng made its debut at the Guangzhou Grand Theater on Oct 11. The production sheds light on the marriage between Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo and Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) in the seventh century and their contribution to the ethnic unity between Han and Tibetan people.
