Produced by the Zhejiang Drama Troupe, the play Lu Xiaoman will greet audiences at the Huzhou Grand Theater on Nov 23. The production is inspired by the tortuous life of Lu Xiaoman (1903-65), an active female cultural figure during the first half of the 20th century.
Adept at writing and painting, Lu is also famous for her marriage with Xu Zhimo (1897-1931), one of the most important figures of modern Chinese poetry.
