Lycoris radiata, also known as red spider lilies, can now be found in full bloom at the Song Jia City Sports and Leisure Park in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, a sign that autumn and its cool temperatures have finally arrived after a scorching summer.
The blooming period usually lasts two weeks. Visitors to the park have been advised not to touch the flowers as their bulbs are toxic.
The Song Jia City Sports and Leisure Park, which features scenic natural landscapes and a host of fitness and leisure amenities, is a popular destination among tourists and local citizens.
