Wang Mei
王玫
A graduate of and teacher at the Beijing Dance Academy, Wang Mei has a professional background in both ballet and Chinese folk dance. She focuses on modern dance and obtained the “modern dance graduation diploma” at the American Dance Festival. One of the most influential choreographers, educators and dancers in this field in China, Wang has created many widely-praised works. Her piece The Red Fan won the second prize at the Varna International Ballet Competition in 2000.
