Forty-nine-year-old Liang Zhi’ang is an inheritor of Yangjiang kite making, which is listed as a Guangdong provincial intangible cultural heritage item. Starting to make kites at the age of 5, Liang has kept innovating with his partners on the craft. He created a 68-meter-long, computer-programmed, LED-lighted dragon kite that spouts electronic fireworks.
