The new branch of the First Historical Archives of China, located at 9 Qinian Street, Dongcheng District in Beijing, opened to the public on July 6, 2022. Nearly 4.7 million pieces of archived material are on view at its four inaugural exhibits, helping to revisit the history of China. Its old site is still running inside the West Gate of the Palace Museum.
