Purple clay pottery is an iconic artifact of Jianshui, SW China’s Yunnan province. The Yunnan Provincial Museum will open an exhibit on May 18 – the International Museum Day – to present Jianshui purple pottery’s history. A total of 28 cultural relics from the museum’s collection and 304 purple pottery works will be on view. The exhibit will run until June 18.
