Online concert to mark 10th anniversary of cultural program

A concert will be streamed online on May 16 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Culture City of East Asia program. Xi'an Symphony Orchestra will perform this year. [Photo provided to China Daily]

During the online concert, Xi'an Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of conductor Qin Zhifeng. The chorus of Xi'an Symphony Orchestra will also join the performance.

Music pieces, including Toward Glory from Chinese composer Zhao Jiping's Symphony No 1, The Sun Also Rises by Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi, which was featured in Chinese director Jiang Wen's movie with the same title, and Don't Worry, Dear, the theme song from popular South Korean TV drama Reply 1988.
