Located in Nyemo county, Lhasa, Southwest China’s Tibet autonomous region, Pusum township is known as “the hometown of carving art”. Listed as an intangible cultural heritage craft in Tibet in 2009, Pusum carving has created job opportunities for local people who used this technique to print Buddhist sutras and prayer flags for souvenirs.
