A white-glazed ewer with a dragon-shaped handle was unearthed from the tomb of the Sui Dynasty (581-618) General Zhang Sheng (张盛) in Anyang city, Henan province in 1959. The ewer has an elephant head-shaped spout.
Now in the collection of the Henan Museum, this burial vessel boasts animal designs reflecting the originality of the craftsmen at the time. It reflects the white-glazed porcelain craftmanship in North China.
