Theater festival in Tianjin offers immersive experience

The first Riverview Place Drama Life Festival was held in Tianjin from April 30 to May 4, bringing an immersive drama experience to theater lovers.
The five-day event gathered different theater productions, including drama, children's play and puppet show. Classic play Thunderstorm, written by renowned Chinese playwright Cao Yu, was played by Tianjin People's Art Theater. A workshop on a children's drama adapted from Shakespeare's classic tragedy Macbeth took place on May 1.
A business event was also held to introduce up coming theater plays in Tianjin this year as well as theater-themed books.
A forum discussing the past and future of Tianjin Opera was organized during the festival.
