With a total of 57 sets of shots and more than 100 clips, it took photographer Li Zhigang three years to record Shizuishan city in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region as a tribute to the northwestern city that gave birth to him.
Shuizuishan city got its name because its mountain rocks on both sides of the Yellow River protrude like mouths.
Known as a "coal-mining city", Shizuishan is a typical coal resource-based industrial city in Ningxia. Over the years, it has adhered to the new development concepts, used innovation to address the difficulties of industrial transformation of a resourced-based city, and become environmental-friendly, green and beautiful.
