Datong in North China’s Shanxi province is a place of ethnic diversity especially during the Liao (916-1125), Jin (1115-1234) and Yuan (1271-1368) dynasties when it was set as the western capital.
The Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum has unveiled an exhibit showcasing more than 140 cultural relics – bronzeware, gold and silver ware, ceramics, furniture and murals – that represent Datong culture between the 10th and 14th centuries. Exhibit ends on June 19!
