Fields of cole flowers in Lizhou, SW China's Guangyuan

As spring emerges, more than 86 hectares of cole flowers in Lizhou district, Guangyuan, Southwest China's Sichuan province are in full bloom.

A sea of golden flowers blankets the terraced fields on the sides of the Bailong River, welcoming the radiance of the blue water. The blossoms offer visitors an enchanting pastoral scene.

The local government has encouraged farmers to grow rapeseed since 2014, which not only increased their incomes, but also drove sightseeing tourism, which has become a powerful driving force for rural revitalization.

The district's Sandui town has established a modern sightseeing agricultural park that covers 33 hectares of land, with a dozen farmhouses within its reach. It has created over 100 jobs for the surrounding residents and helped them earn incomes of more than 5,000 yuan ($790.5) a year.
